DOT Lookup is a lookup tool. It is not a social network, it does not create accounts, and it does not run a backend of our own.
USDOT / MC lookups, recent searches, starred carriers, and cached FMCSA records are stored only in the app’s local storage. We do not receive them. Clearing data in About wipes that copy.
Lookups are sent to the FMCSA QCMobile (SAFER) public API so the app can return the federal carrier record. That request includes the number or name you typed and a rate-limiting WebKey. It does not include your Google account, contacts, or location.
If you tap Call, Email, Maps, Share, Rate, or an FMCSA website link, the operating system opens another app. Those apps have their own policies.
A single banner ad may appear below results, served by Google AdMob. Google may use the Android Advertising ID and device / network signals to fill that banner. We do not use that ID for anything else, and we do not sell lookup history.
You can reset or opt out of ads personalization in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
This app is built for freight brokers, dispatchers, and motor carriers. It is not directed at children under 13.
